Edinburgh University   0  v  6  Cumbernauld Colts

Colts travelled to East Peffermill to play Edinburgh Uni in matchday seven of the Lowland League. Colts were looking to make it four wins in a row, while Edinburgh were hoping to get their first win since the opening day of the season.
Colts dominated for the first 35 minutes with a couple shots on target, but nothing that really troubled the keeper.

With just over 35 minutes played it was Cole McIntrye痴 turn to test the goalkeeper. Reg McLaren played a ball across the box to McIntyre who hit it first time, but the keeper got down well to palm it wide.
Stephen O誰eil broke the deadlock with seven minutes to go until half-time. A well placed through ball from McLaren put O誰eil in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper who he rounded and slipped the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.

HT Edinburgh Uni 0-1 Cumbernauld Colts. Colts looking the stronger team at the half.
Cole McIntyre opened the scoring in the second half in the 52nd minute. Another through ball from McLaren sent McIntyre through and he cannoned a shot in past the keeper. Unstoppable.
Colts added a third straight from kick-off. Edinburgh only get four touches of the ball before Craig Holmes wins the ball back and strides forward. His strike is initially saved by the keeper but O誰eil is there to turn in the rebound.

An own goal makes it four. Substitute Gregory Tade floats in a cross into the box which Edinburgh defender Ben Mail puts past his own keeper.
Colts grab another through McIntyre. The ball is played low into the box from the right-hand side by Peter-John McGiff and McIntyre hits it without breaking stride first time. The keeper got a boot on it, but that wasn稚 enough to stop the ball.

Another parry by the Edinburgh keeper and another Colts goal. This time the ball is crossed in by O誰eil, Tade rises to head it but the header is parried by the keeper and McGiff drills it home for his first goal for the Colts.

A sour end to a great game as O誰eil goes down hurt and after some medical treatment limps off the pitch.
Edinburgh come close to pulling a goal back after a well-worked free-kick routine left them with a one on one against Ryan Adamson but the shot hit the post and went wide.

FT Edinburgh Uni 0-6 Cumbernauld Colts. A comfortable win for Colts sees them stretch their winning run to four. That victory was also Colts biggest winning margin since a 7-0 win over Hawick Royal in 2017.
Colts next game will be at home to Civil Service Strollers.
