Colts second pre-season game saw the young side travel to Bannockurn to face Milton F.C in what was to be tough playing conditions.
It was a physical game from the start with the home side receiving two bookings inside the first five minutes.
The first goal of the game came as Colts failed to clear from a corner and the ball fell on the edge of the box for the Milton player to fire the ball home, and five minutes later it was 2-0 to the home side as Purves was beaten at his near post from a close range effort.
Colts though took control of the game and had several chances to score with the home keeper making a string of good saves to deny the young Colts. But Colts persistence paid off as a McGarahan cross deflected off the Milton as Colts reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time.
Half Time 2-1
Colts equalised five minutes after the restart as new signing Paul Nash placed the ball past the goalkeeper to draw the visitors level.
Milton found chances few and far between as Colts settled into the game playing some good football in difficult playing conditions and would have had the lead in the closing stages if not for a good save from the Milton keeper.
