Cumbernauld Colts can confirm that St Mirren pair Josh Farquhar and Lyle Hunter have extended their loans until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Josh and Lyle came in from St Mirren in the summer and have impressed, earning themselves another six months in yellow and blue.
Shortly after joining, Josh quickly proved that he was full of potential and intended to fulfil it, grabbing a couple of goals in pre-season, including a quick opener against his parent side.
Josh has two Lowland League goals to his name so far, as well as one in the Scottish Cup and a handful of assists, whilst looking continuously threatening up front.
Lyle has been less fortunate since joining ‘Colts, through no fault of his own. The first six months of his ‘Colts career have seen injury as a recurring theme, something we hope Lyle can overcome as he stays on at Broadwood.
Despite reduced football this season, Lyle has looked impressive in the time he has had on the pitch, earning his extension as much as Josh has. We know there is more to come from Lyle, and we can’t wait to see it.
We are delighted to have both players back at Broadwood for the second half of the season, and we know both of them will only keep impressing.
