Cumbernauld Colts can confirm that former ‘Colts midfielder Carrick McEvoy has returned on loan from St Mirren for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.
Carrick becomes our third St Mirren loanee, after it was confirmed that Josh Farquhar and Lyle Hunter have extended their loans until the end of the season.
Carrick spent the tail-end of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Broadwood, helping ‘Colts earn their hard-fought survival from relegation from the Lowland League, despite only managing two appearances in the yellow and blue.
The midfielder only played the two final games of last season, including the all-important last match against Linlithgow Rose, in which a strong performance led to survival.
The first half of the season has been spent at Dumbarton for Carrick, managing two appearances in League 2, as well as two additional appearances in the Scottish Cup and four more in the League Cup.
Undoubtedly, some consistent playing time is likely to help Carrick this season. We know he is full of potential, and we hope to see that as he finishes off the season with ‘Colts.
