Cumbernauld Colts and Johnstone Burgh shared the points in an eight-goal thriller at Broadwood, with both sides finding the net four times in a dramatic Lowland League West match-up.

Colts opened the scoring early in the 12th minute with a run from Harrison Howe finishing well to take the lead.

Johnstone Burgh responded in the 27th minute, with Mark Durnan heading home to equalise just moments after David Wilson had made a save.

Colts were able to restore their advantage almost immediately via Jamie Semple in the 28th minute.

Thomas Horn then added a third just before half-time, scoring in the 43rd minute to put the Colts firmly into the lead going into the break.

Thomas Horn struck again 12 minutes into the second half after a one-on-one duel with the goalkeeper ended up in the net to make it 4-1.

Burgh made changes in the 62nd minute before Colts made their first substitution seven minutes later, with a trialist replacing Horn. The forward left the pitch after contributing two goals on the night.

The changes seemed to spur the visitors on, allowing Aaron Mason to pull one back in the 70th minute before Gabriel Nosa Erhabor added another in the 80th minute to make it 4-3.

Colts made a further change in the 80th minute, with Liam Brown coming on in place of Jamie Semple.

Johnstone Burgh brought the game level at 4-4 in the 84th minute as Durnan scored his second of the night.

Keen to get back in the game, Colts made a triple change in the 85th minute, with Jake Williams, a trialist and Lucas McCormick coming on for Jude Freel, Jack Devlin and Harrison Howe.

Five minutes of added time followed, but ultimately neither side could find a winner as the whistle blew.

Thomas Horn was awarded Man of the Match for his two-goal contribution on the night.
