Match report

A tough outing for the Colts as Matchday 3 of the KDM Evolution Trophy league phase ended in a 3-0 defeat to League Two side Kelty Hearts.

The visitors made a strong start at Broadwood, taking the lead after just three minutes through a goal from Jamie Hislop.
Kelty went on to double their advantage straight from the restart with Jamie Hislop netting the ball again inside the first four minutes.

The rest of the half was played out with little fanfare as neither team were able to capitalise any further and Colts went into the break trailing 2-0, with the visitors holding the advantage heading into the second half.

As the second half played out, Colts made their first changes in the 69th minute, with Lucas McCormick, Daniel Hatfield and Liam Brown coming on in place of Harrison Howe, Scott Walker and Thomas Horn. Further changes followed seven minutes later as a trialist and Callum Graham replaced Abraham Osemeke and Jamie Semple.

It wasn’t until the 90th minute that Kelty Hearts added a third to their tally via Zach Flatman in the dying minutes of the game.

Three additional minutes were played, but ultimately the Colts weren’t able to find anything more before the final whistle was blown.

Man of the Match was awarded to Jack Devlin for his efforts during the game.
