Colts secured their first ever KDM evolution point following a 1 – 1 home draw against Kilmarnock B on Tuesday night.

The opening stages of the game proved to be an entertaining and fairly even contest, with both sides settling into a solid tempo but neither able to find a breakthrough during the first 20 minutes.

It was in the 28th minute that Kilmarnock B opened the night’s scoring via a strong header from Remo Margiotta.

Colts made every effort to respond as the half progressed but instead were forced into an early change of their own when Danny Hatfield’s evening was brought to a premature end in the 35th minute, with Liam Brown introduced in his place.

Colts’ response came just in the closing minutes of the half as Aiden McLaughlin found the back of the net to send the sides into the break level.

The second half continued in a similar fashion, with neither side able to find the back of the net.

Colts made their second change in the 65th minute as Abraham Osemeke replaced Lucas McCormick, before a further double change followed in the 80th minute with Jack Devlin and Kaidyn Dale introduced for Scott Walker and Harrison Howe.

Four minutes of additional time were played, but neither side could find a winner before the final whistle.

The result sees Colts claim their first-ever KDM Evolution Trophy point, doing so in their first home fixture of the competition.
