Match report

‘Colts inflict Clydebank’s second home defeat in 18 months via an excellent 3-1 win at Holm Park.

‘Colts started the match in good fashion, creating a few good chances right off the bat and threatening a strong Clydebank side.

It wouldn’t be too long before we would find the opener, as Josh Jack would step up to take a free-kick in a familiar position, and finish it in familiar fashion in the 20th minute.

Shortly after, Danny Hatfield would double out leads with a close-range effort in the 23rd minute, putting ‘Colts in a great position.

Half-time passed, and ‘Colts came back out with a two-goal lead, which would quickly become a three-goal lead.

Before this, however, Clydebank would pile on the pressure at the beginning of the second half, threatening Harry Broun a few times.

Ultimately, Danny Hatfield would double his account for the afternoon after finding his way around the keeper and finishing from a tight angle in the 49th minute.

The match became more even after the third goal, and Clydebank would eventually pull one back through Nicky Little in the 69th minute.

It then became a defensive challenge for ‘Colts as Clydebank continued to threaten, but some great defensive football helped us to see out the result.
